KPMG announces the appointment of Alexander Tutunnik as Risk Advisory Services Partner at KPMG in Russia and the CIS.
Alexander Tutunnik

Alexander was born in 1972. He graduated from the Moscow Economic and Statistics Institute. After finishing graduate school, he defended his candidate dissertation, on improving interbank settlements, in 1998. In 2002, at the age of 29, Alexander finished his doctorate and defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Methodology for Reengineering Credit Institutions".

Alexander has been working in the banking sector for more than 15 years. He has repeatedly received training and been seconded abroad, in particular to the USA, United Kingdom, Belgium, Czech Republic, and Luxembourg. He also has more than seven years of teaching experience. Alexander has taught in such high education institutions as Moscow Economic and Statistics Institute (MESI), Moscow Higher Banking School, Advanced Training Institute for Banking Specialists and Moscow University of Industry and Finance, where he is the head of a department.

For several years he worked in a commercial bank, as well as a major software company specializing in the design of banking software. For the past seven years, while working in the international consulting firms PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte and Touche, as well as on the TACIS project, Alexander has specialized in advisory services and bank audit. He has also been certified by the Bank of Russia as a practicing auditor. Alexander has taken part in dozens of major Russian and international audit projects as an audit in-charge and a consultant. He is the author of nearly 100 articles and publications on banking topics, including the books "Banking", "Reengineering of Credit Institutions", and "Information Technology in Banks".

Alexander has good management and communications skills, and extensive experience in audit, banking, corporate governance, banking strategy, marketing and investment activity. Alexander's hobbies include collecting art and numismatics.
