Distinguished guests at the event included graduates and friends of the University - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov, aide to the President of the Russian Federation S.E. Prikhodko, Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.N. Borodavkin and V.G. Titov, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation A.A. Avdeyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma V.V. Zhirinovsky, President of the Chamber for Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation E.A. Primakov, member of the management committee of Eurasian Industry Association F.K. Shodiev, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of Russia and foreign countries and many other people. The event attracted over 2,000 guests.
Special invitations were also received by George Pataraya, KPMG Partner, Audit, member of the Board of Trustees and holder of a MGIMO platinum donation card, and Alexander Yerofeyev, KPMG Partner, Restructuring, and other KPMG employees who graduated from the university in different years.
The graduates were treated to a celebratory buffet, where they could have a chat, pore over the stands of different faculties and institutes, look for fellow students and remember their student years.
This is not the first year that KPMG has sponsored major events to be held at one of Russia's leading universities. However, this tradition was continued this year. We look forward to further cooperation between KPMG and MGIMO.
