Aims:

• The Audit Committee Institute (ACI) provides a forum for Audit Committee members to discuss together the long-term and immediate issues and challenges which they face as they seek to fulfill their responsibilities. It aims to be the first point of call for Audit Committee members wishing to maintain, establish or improve effective governance in their organizations and for the Audit Committee seeking to implement or improve procedures and processes. The ACI is sponsored and facilitated by KPMG and Russian Institute of Directors.

Key Facts:

• 'Global Network' - There are ACIs in nearly 30 countries around the world, including all of the world’s major capital markets. Their experience and intellectual capital is linked through the global network of KPMG network firms.
  
• Events - The ACI runs a regular program of events, including round tables for members from listed and public companies, and a variety of sector and subject specific events.
  
• Publications - The ACI issues publications designed for Audit Committee members including ACI Quarterly, Horizon, the ACI toolkit together with ad-hoc publications which are produced in response to regulatory and commercial developments in the governance arena. • 'European forum' - A bi-annual European Audit Committee Chairman’s Forum (EACCF) brings together Audit Committee chairman from Europe’s major companies to debate issues of concern with their peers and to develop practical ways in which to enhance both Audit Committee effectiveness and the functioning of capital markets.
